LG Unveils AI-Powered Cordless Vacuum That Optimizes Suction Based on User Habits

LG CordZero Objet Collection A9 AI (Image provided by LG Electronics) SEOUL, May 1 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics has introduced a new cordless vacuum cleaner that uses artificial intelligence to analyze user behavior and automatically adjust suction power for optimal battery efficiency and cleaning performance, the company announced Wednesday. The latest model, LG CordZero Objet Collection A9 AI , marks a significant step in integrating smart home technology with daily appliances. The vacuum features an “AI Standard Suction Control” function, which learns users’ typical cleaning routines and tailors suction strength based on cleaning time, battery level, and remaining charge.

The innovation addresses a common complaint among cordless vacuum users: battery depletion before completing a full cleaning session. By adjusting power use intelligently, the vacuum maximizes performance while conserving energy. Central to the product’s efficiency is LG’s enhanced “AI Inverter,” an upgrade to its existing inverter motor technology.



This component converts direct current (DC) battery power into alternating current (AC) and precisely controls motor speed—essential for modulating suction levels depending on surface type and cleaning needs. In addition to AI-powered cleaning, the A9 AI includes upgraded diagnostic features. Users can monitor battery status, lifespan, and potential issues through LG’s ThinQ app or via the built-in LCD screen on the device.

Additional user-friendly features include an LED light for improved visibility in dark corners and “Auto Stop & Go,” which automatically pauses operation when the vacuum is set down and resumes when lifted. The vacuum offers a maximum suction power of 320 watts while weighing only 2.54 kilograms, positioning it as one of the lightest high-performance models on the market in 2025.
