Showers will e rather frequent through the day around the Rochester area. Though the rain will be off and on through the day, with a few breaks here or there, we will keep cloudy skies for much of the day, and that will keep highs in the low 50s. As those showers move through, most will be rather light, but a few early on could bring in rumbles of thunder to the region.
Once the final rounds of rain move out Friday morning, rain totals about the region will mostly look to range from a half-inch to an inch, with isolated heavier amounts possible where thundershowers move through. Then as we head through the day Friday, even once the rain moves out, the overcast skies and a bit of a north breeze at 10-20 mph will keep highs in the 50s for another afternoon. ADVERTISEMENT For the weekend, we are tracking a warm-up around the region, as both days look to warm well into the 60s, with mostly sunny skies for Saturday.
However, by Sunday we have another round of rain moving in later in the day, and as that system moves through the Midwest, we are going to keep an eye on the chance for some thunderstorms going into the start of next week..
