Limerick renew rivalry with Tipperary as Munster Senior Hurling Championship gets underway

THE LIMERICK senior hurlers begin their quest for a record seventh Munster senior hurling championship today. John Kiely's Limerick side face Tipperary in their opening Munster SHC round robin fixture at FBD Semple Stadium, Thurles at 4pm. The round one Munster SHC fixture will be shown live on GAA+ with coverage getting underway at 3:15pm.

Between 30,000 and 35,000 supporters are expected to attend the Munster SHC opener in Thurles on Sunday.
