It's no secret that the Seattle Seahawks thrive when they have a gifted and physical secondary, and as shown by recent heavy investment into their cornerback room, it looks as though they are attempting to rebuild the "Legion of Boom". This became even more clear when Seattle leaped up to the top of the second round and snagged South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori with the 35th overall selection. Emmanwori is a big time athlete who can play sideline to sideline and deliver punishing blows as well as cover athletically gifted tight ends.
This move by Seattle helps strengthen an already talented group within their secondary and fills a major hole on defense. Given Emmanwori should have gone in the first round, the value was clearly here for Seattle to move up and get their guy.
