The deadly crash happened on the A14 at Horningsea on April 22 and the carriageway is still shut

A person has died following a multi-vehicle crash on a major Cambridgeshire A-road. The A14 eastbound between J33 at the A10 Milton Interchange to J35 A1303 Newmarket Road has been closed since 9pm last night (April 22), and it remains closed this morning (April 23). This comes after a crash involving multiple vehicles last night on the A14 at Horningsea just before 9.

30pm. One person in a car died, while three others in the same car have suffered serious injuries. Cambridgeshire Police arrested a 38-year-old man, who was driving a lorry, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.



The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place. Inrix, a traffic monitoring site, says: "A14 Eastbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident investigation work from J33 A10 (Milton Interchange) to J35 A1303 Newmarket Road (Stow Cum Quy). Congestion to J32 (Histon Interchnage) and the diversion route.
