Alisson is in line to return in goal for Liverpool against West Ham . The Brazilian has not featured since the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain a month ago after suffering a head injury on Brazil duty. But Arne Slot has confirmed Alisson has passed concussion tests and is clear to play.
Conor Bradley is also ready to start at right-back as Liverpool bid to take a big step towards the title after Arsenal dropped more points against Brentford on Saturday. Bradley came off the bench against Fulham last weekend after almost two months out. With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez also out injured, Slot had turned to Curtis Jones at right-back.
Asked whether Bradley’s cameo means he is now in contention to start, Slot said: “Yes, it does. Of course it’s a boost, it’s always a boost when quality players come back. Especially quality players in that position, because I think Curtis Jones is a quality player but it’s not his favourite position.
“So to have a player in his favourite position is always – not always - but might be better for the team. And Conor has done so well for us this season, just like Trent. But when Trent then isn’t there, you always hope to look behind you and see that Conor is available.
“To have Conor back, I think we all would make the same decision and that’s playing Conor in that position.” There are not believed to be any fresh injury issues for Slot to contend with. Mohamed Salah will start in attack, fresh from signing a new contract.
Luis Diaz will hope to come back into the side in place of Cody Gakpo. Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertsn; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota Injured: Alexander-Arnold, Gomez Time and date: 2pm BST on Sunday, April 13, 2025 Venue: Anfield How to watch: Sky Sports.
