Peifer followed up with a solo shot in the very next at-bat, feeding off her team’s momentum.
Pitcher Addie Wagenheim would drive in another run, and the Patriots would get their final run on a wild pitch. Wagenheim twirled the complete 7 innings, giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits and punching out 12 en route to the win. Carlisle’s Alexis Kline blasted a 3-run home run of her own, but it was not enough to help her club.
