Father and son team conquer the Snowies.

Lawson cyclist Bobby Dalitz has come third in a marathon 1000-kilometre bike ride held over Easter. or signup to continue reading He pedalled for three days, 16 hours and 49 minutes to earn his spot on the podium of the 2025 Monaro Cloudride. The race is a non-stop, self supported event, starting in Canberra, going through the Snowy Mountains and back to Canberra.

The winner, Loic Fery from Hobart, completed the race in three days, seven hours and six minutes. Dalitz finished just before midnight on April 21, exhausted but elated. His dad, Martin, from Faulconbridge, completed the course in seven days, three hours and 49 minutes.



The Cloudride is touted as a race for people with "a high level of endurance fitness, confident bike handling skills over variable terrain and a capacity to ride long hours, often in difficult conditions".
