Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for making larger-than-life films, is currently working on Love & War. The celebrated director has joined forces with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal for the project. When the film was announced, a Christmas 2025 release was confirmed.

Later, it was revealed that the project might hit the big screen in March 2026. However, according to a new media report, Love & War's theatrical release might be delayed. Love & War release delayed? A report by The Hollywood Reporter India suggests that there could be a change in Love & War's release date.

"The current shooting timeline of Love & War involves a mega war sequence, which Bhansali will mount on a huge scale. But that will only be shot in November," a source said. Additionally, team Love & War is expected to wrap up the shoot by January 2026 after filming the mega war sequence.

Considering its late wrap and post-production process, SLB's ambitious project's release might be delayed. "It will be impossible for Love & War to finish post-production and come on the big screen two months later in March. So the film might get pushed," the source added.

However, an official confirmation from team Sanjay Leela Bhansali is awaited. The announcement post, shared by Alia Bhatt, had her, Ranbir and Vicky's signatures.

The director also reunites with Alia after their 2022 hit film Gangubai Kathiawadi. On the other hand, he has collaborated with Vicky for the first time. The filmmaker's last project was the Netflix show, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
