In major good news for citizens, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been slashed by Rs20 per kilogram, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. According to the channel report, the new LPG price has been set at Rs260 per kg, down from the earlier Rs280 per kg. Citizens have expressed satisfaction over the price reduction, saying it would provide some relief amid the ongoing gas shortages.

However, they also demanded that the government ensure an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to minimise reliance on costly LPG. Many citizens stressed the urgent need for immediate steps to permanently resolve the gas crisis, pointing out that reducing dependence on LPG would save them from additional financial burdens in the future.
