Madhuri Dongre receives Paluskar memorial award

1 2 Pune: Veteran classical singer and guru Dr Madhuri Dongre has received the Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Smriti Guru Gaurav award . It was given out by GST officer Dinesh Bhoyar at Gaandharv Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Shaniwar Peth on Wednesday. Padma Talwalkar, Ulhas Kashalkar and Sudhatai Patwardhan are among the previous recipients of the award.

Dongre (75) has been teaching music for over 40 years. Besides being a composer, she has a doctorate in music and has been a meritorious student of economics..
