Man charged following incident at corner shop

A man has been charged following an assault at a Brighton shop. Police were called to the incident on St James’s Street in Brighton around 4.30pm on April 18.

It is understood the incident happened at Karma Food and Off Licence. READ MORE: Pride parade at 'serious risk' of being cancelled Jonathan Pearse, 39, of no fixed address, was charged with common assault. He is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on May 22.
