He began to train in boxing as his career was coming to an end before eventually making the switch to MMA . Now, Evra is signed to the PFL and is set to make his debut in the Smart Cage next month in the promotion’s return to the Accor Arena. The Brit spends a lot of his time in Dubai, where it appears that Evra has set up camp.
In the photos, Loughnane posed with his 2022 belt alongside Evra before seemingly taking him through a light move around. He captioned the post: “Welcome to the @pflmma brother #Manchester,” with a number of commenters noting that they are both legends in the city of Manchester. Patrice Evra opens up about why he is fighting in the cage In his first social media post announcing the signing, Evra joked that he was calling out his old rival Luis Suarez.
He shared a bitter feud with the Uruguayan during their days at Manchester United and Liverpool respectively. However, he is more likely to start with a fighter who has some degree of combat experience, albeit limited. “You guys should know by now, I love this game too,” Evra said in a press release.
“I’ve performed on the world’s biggest stages, won every major trophy in football, but PFL Europe Paris will be an incredibly special night for me. “I’ve been training alongside the best in the world for years, and they’ll also tell you I’m ready for this. I’m going to put on a show at the Accor Arena on 23 May, so come watch the spectacle.
