The acclaimed play "Marx in Soho" is set to return to the stage once again. The performances will be held from May 1 to May 3 at 7pm each evening at the Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mohila Samity in Dhaka. To mark International Workers' Day and the 208th birth anniversary of Karl Marx, theatre groups BotTola and Jatrik are bringing the production back to life.

Adapted from a work by renowned American historian and theorist Howard Zinn, translated by Javed Hossain, and directed by Naila Azad, the play first premiered in October 2021. "Marx in Soho" imagines a world where Karl Marx returns nearly a century after his death, questioning whether his ideas still hold relevance. In a world riddled with inequality, injustice for workers, and growing intolerance, the play explores whether Marx could offer solutions—or simply defend his tarnished legacy.

Tickets are available on BotTola's official website, with a 50% discount for students. The acclaimed play "Marx in Soho" is set to return to the stage once again.
