Excelsior Sports Correspondent27JAMMU, Apr 26: Mulan Cricket Club (MCC) emerged victorious in the Baisakhi Bash Knockout Tournament 2025, defeating PAG Jammu XI in an exciting final held at the Country Cricket Stadium, Jammu.After winning the toss, Mulan chose to bowl first. Despite a strong start from PAG Jammu XI with Suryansh (48 off 35 balls), Bandeep Singh (33 off 22 balls), and Ram Dayal (33 off 22 balls), Mulan’s bowling attack, led by Majid (4 wickets), Ritik (2 wickets) and contributions from Kulwinder, Sunil and Rahul (1 wicket each), limited the total to a competitive score.
In reply, Sidharth Bhat played a match-winning knock of 89 off 50 balls, with Rohan contributing 44 off 29 balls. Despite a valiant bowling effort from Bandeep Singh (3 wickets), Mulan chased down the target comfortably to win the title.The winning team, Mulan Cricket Club, received a trophy and Rs 40,000 in prize money, while the runners-up, PAG Jammu XI, were awarded a trophy and Rs 20,000.
Sidharth Bhat was named Best Batsman, Bandeep Singh won Man of the Series and Best Bowler and Shubham Pundir was honored as Best Fielder.The event was graced by Sudarshan Mehta, former Ranji Trophy Player, and Vivek Sharma, President of Friends Cricket Club Jammu, who praised the high standard of cricket and the efforts of all participants. The tournament was seamlessly organized by Vikrant Sharma, Sarthak Khoda and Agastya.
