Celebrities, too, are pouring in congratulatory messages for the cast and crew of the film, heaping praises on them for their extraordinary work. Now, Medha Shankr has also joined the list of stars who dropped posts on social media to share their heartfelt appreciation for the film.
In a post on Instagram stories, Medha Shankr shared the poster of Kesari Chapter 2 and wrote, “So powerful, truly packs a punch! Congratulations to the entire team for such an impactful film." The actress also tagged Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan along with both the director and producer, Karan Singh Tyagi and Karan Johar in the post. Later, Ananya also reshared the post on the photo-sharing application.
Kesari Chapter 2 is roaring at the box office with its successful run. The film, directed by debutant Karan Singh Tyagi, is a gripping tale about Indian lawyer C Sankaran Nair’s fight against the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar plays the protagonist in the film whereas Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill.
R Madhavan takes on the role of British officer R Neville McKinley. Earlier, the film also received applause from stars including Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Suniel Shetty, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Ramesh Taurani and Sunny Kaushal. Varun Dhawan also joined the league to praise the film.
On Sunday, the actor posted a still from the courtroom drama, calling it a “powerful film" that moved him deeply. “Love watching it in the theatres. Congratulations Amritpal Bindra, #karan Ananya Panday, u were very good.
R Madhavan, loved u sir and Akshay Kumar—your passion and hard work shine in this," he wrote in his heartwarming note. As for Medha Shankr, the actress who won hearts with her role in debut film 12th fail, is now set to showcase her acting skills in the next film. Her upcoming venture will see her alongside Sunny Kaushal and Nimrat Kaur.
Touted to be a detective comedy, the film will be produced by Laxman Utekar and T-Series. The official announcement for the upcoming project is yet to be made..
