Popular television actress Shubhangi Atre made her acting debut in the TV industry with a small role in Ektaa R Kapoor's show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She left everyone impressed with her performance in Kasturi and received a lot of love for her negative role in Havan. She even replaced Shilpa Shinde in two popular roles.
She replaced Shilpa in Chidiya Ghar in 2013 and in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain! in 2016. Shubhangi's role as Angoori Manmohan Tiwari in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain! made her gain a lot of popularity. After her success with Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain!, Shubhangi appeared in shows like Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Adhuri Kahaani Hamari, Gulmohar Grand, and many more.
Shubhangi is riding high on success. Shubhangi Atre and Piyush Poorey were officially granted divorce from the court on February 5, 2025, and the actress revealed it in public on March 2, 2025. In an interview with ETimes, Shubhangi opened up about her divorce and revealed that it was painful for her as she was fully invested in their relationship.
She said that there are several irreconcilable issues that developed in their married life. The actress decided to part ways with her husband and admitted that she was now at peace. Shubhangi and Piyush got married in 2003 and welcomed a baby girl named Ashi after some years of marriage.
Piyush left his high-paying job in the advertising agency to take care of their daughter. In an old interview with The Times Of India, Shubhangi shared that while she was working on television shows, her husband left his job to let her pursue her dream. She said, I was in Pune and my husband was working in an advertisement agency.
Till our baby grew a year old, I was taking care of her completely but after that, I started giving auditions. When I got shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kasturi, Piyush left his job so that I could pursue acting. Later when I settled down a bit and we figured out our schedules, he resumed work.
