Carolina men's golf is the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Urbana (Ill.) Regional, which will host 13 teams and 10 individuals May 12-14 at the Atkins Golf Club.

This is the Tar Heels' 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament (2015-19 and 2021-25 with no tournament held in 2020 due to the pandemic). UNC has advanced to the NCAA Championship seven straight times, the fourth-longest active streak in the nation behind Texas, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt. The top five teams and low individual not on one of those five qualifying teams in Urbana will advance to the NCAA Championship May 23-28 in Carlsbad, Calif.



Carolina has finished in the top-five in each of the last four NCAA Championships (tied for third in 2023 and tied for fifth in 2021, 2022 and 2024). The Tar Heels are the only team in the nation to compete in match play in the NCAA Championships in each of the last four seasons. UNC is ranked No.

10 in the nation and is coming off a runner-up finish in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky. The Tar Heels placed second in stroke play, beat Wake Forest, 3-0, in the quarterfinals, and Florida State, 3-1, in the semifinals before losing to Virginia by a point in the championship match. Senior David Ford enters the NCAA Tournament ranked No.

1 in the nation and No. 1 in the PGA TOUR University standings. He has won a UNC-record five tournaments this season and tied the all-time Tar Heel mark with seven career victories.

He tied for ninth in stroke play in the ACC Championship and went 3-0 in match play. Freshman Sihan Sandhu tied for third in stroke play in the ACC Championship. He and Keaton Vo both went 2-1 in match play.

Freshman Grant Roscich won a qualifier to enter the starting lineup for ACCs and defeated 13 th -ranked Ben James, 3&2, in the championship match. Oklahoma State is the top seed in the Urbana Regional. The Tar Heels are second followed by No.
