At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, MG Motor introduced its Cyber family lineup. The debut featured the Cyber X ‘Box’ concept, the upgraded MG Cyberster MY 2026, and the limited Cyberster Black 101st Anniversary Edition. The Cyber X concept reflects MG’s shift from its racing heritage to a broader focus on urban commuting, off-road exploration, and outdoor leisure, aiming to attract younger, adventure-seeking drivers.

Designed by Joseph Kaban, known for the Bugatti Veyron, Cyber X is a design study for global markets. The company describes it as a ‘global urban adventure toy’ as it combines a tall silhouette with short front and rear overhangs for a unique look that blends city and off-road vibes. Its ‘Stardust Gray’ paint has a matte sandstone texture when still but reflects light and shadow when moving, resembling ripples on a glass surface.

The design includes a modern take on classic pop-up headlights, improving aerodynamics while adding a retro touch. MG Cyberster The MG Cyberster, a modern successor to the iconic MG B, continues to lead as the world’s top-selling electric coupe, with over 3,000 units delivered globally in six months. The 2026 model offers two new exterior colours—Iris Blue and Andes Gray—and interior options in Red/Black or Gray/White.

Matching trim panels enhance the cabin’s cohesive look, and a new wind deflector reduces turbulence by 90%, improving comfort without sacrificing the open-top driving experience. Cyberster Black 101st Anniversary Edition The Cyberster Black 101st Anniversary Edition, with its high-gloss black finish and chrome accents, caters to buyers seeking exclusivity. An upcoming Cyber GTS hardtop variant will further expand the Cyberster range, offering more options for personalised style.
