Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), the Dominican government stated that such measures are lawful and essential to safeguarding public order and national stability, especially given the growing risks posed by Haiti’s ongoing humanitarian and security crisis.
The Dominican authorities also highlighted their firm stance against migrant smuggling and human trafficking, emphasizing the damage these illegal networks cause to vulnerable populations.
