Qatar tribune QNA Doha Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad held a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the 2025 Global Security Forum in Doha on Monday. Al Misnad met with Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Pierre Krahenbuhl. The meeting addressed cooperation between Qatar and the ICRC and the ways to foster them, particularly in the field of humanitarian affairs.
The agenda also included issues of shared concern, particularly in the field of humanitarian aid in Gaza and Sudan. During the meeting, Krahenbuhl stressed the importance of Qatar’s role in supporting humanitarian diplomacy. The Minister of State for International Cooperation also met with Interior Minister of the State of Palestine Ziad Hab Al Reeh.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, in addition to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. During the meeting, both sides stressed the need for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as well as swift, secure, and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid across the Strip. Al Misnad also met with Swiss Vice-Minister for International Cooperation and Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Patricia Danzi.
The meeting discussed cooperation between Qatar and the SDC and ways of enhancing and developing them, in addition to covering regional and global issues of mutual concern, especially those pertaining to the occupied Palestinian territories, Sudan, Yemen, and Afghanistan. Copy 29/04/2025 10.
