Seaford Motorfest returns in 2025 with a special tribute to committee member Debbie Ward, celebrating her legacy and dedication to the local community.

Seaford Motorfest is set to pay tribute to a cherished committee member who died last year. The event, which claims to be the second largest in the town after the Seaford Bonfire Society, is run by volunteers as a "free family event" for the local community. The motorfest, which attracts about 6,000 people, is known for the "amazing" noise and atmosphere created when bikes arrive at the show from the seafront at 11.

A spokesperson for the Seaford Motorfest said: "Sadly, our committee member and good friend Debbie Ward was diagnosed with a rare tumour in July of last year and died in the October at the age of 57.

"She did so much for Seaford, not as a councillor but as a member of the public. "This year, as hard as I'm struggling to put this show on without her, there will be a huge tribute in memory of her." Despite the event's popularity, organisers say they have struggled to secure media coverage, which affects their ability to attract sponsors.

They say this is frustrating as they believe the event is a positive contribution to the town. The spokesperson added: "The whole show is for Seaford, and I find it hard when all the positive comments, photos, etc., are only shown on Facebook, which isn't viewed by everyone.
