The Joe Dix Foundation has expanded its lifesaving efforts this week by donating more catastrophic bleed kits to businesses in Norwich. The latest recipients include the M&S store in Rampant Horse Street and the M&S Foodhall in Sweet Briar Retail Park, as the charity continues its mission to tackle the impact of knife crime across the region. To date, the Foundation has distributed around 65 bleed kits across Norfolk.

Emma Dix, Joe’s mother, explained the Foundation’s approach: “We donate a bleed kit every time we give a presentation at a school or workplace. "By the end of the week, we plan to have two at Norwich Cathedral and 10 additional kits will be in place across clubs and bars in the city.

All kits are listed on the GoodSAM app, which allows members of the public and venue staff to locate and use them in emergencies. The Foundation, which aims to raise awareness of child criminal exploitation and knife crime, funds for the kits through events and grants, and works closely with NR Medical Training to deliver hands-on first aid sessions.
These include CPR and bleed control training, led by qualified paramedics..
