Vadodara: A new computing facility has been launched at the civil engineering department of M S University's faculty of technology and engineering (FTE), thanks to the generous support of its alumni. The 1999 batch of civil engineering graduates donated 15 computers for the development of a new computer laboratory, along with instruments to upgrade the department's surveying laboratory. The facility was inaugurated by Professor Dhanesh Patel , MSU's in-charge vice-chancellor and dean of FTE, during a special ceremony attended by several alumni from the 1999 batch.
Speaking at the event, Patel said, "This newly developed facility will help students of the civil engineering department enhance their soft skills and prepare for the evolving era of computing and artificial intelligence." The inauguration programme was held at the civil engineering department itself, where Professor Patel and Geeta Joshi, head of the civil engineering department, felicitated the contributing alumni for their support and involvement in the university's growth..
