Mumbai Amrit Bharat Express: Mumbai is set to get its first Amrit Bharat Express train as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the service from Bihar's Saharsa on April 24. The train will run between Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Bihar's Saharsa. The LTT-Saharsa train will be the third Amrit Bharat Express in the country after Darbhanga-Anand Vihar and Malda Town-SMVT Bengaluru.

Amrit Bharat Express: Stations The train will pass through and facilitate the passengers of Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Danapur, Buxar, and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (formerly Mughalsarai), Itarsi, and Bhusaval stations. The train will operate at a speed of 110-130 kmph and is likely to reduce the travel time between the first and last station by one hour and 30 minutes. It is anticipated that the Saharsa-Mumbai Amrit Bharat train would run once a week for now, as only one rake of it has been given to the Samastipur Railway Division. This rake will depart from Mumbai and then return to Saharsa. Amrit Bharat Express: Features The Amrit Bharat Express features better-designed seats and luggage racks for increasing volume, LED lights, CCTV, mobile charging holders, a public information system, and is a vestibule train.

The train has locomotives on both ends that will cut the time of reversal. The Amrit Bharat Express will have 22 coaches, both sleeper and general. Based on push-pull technology, this train runs at a faster speed than normal express trains.

Its design is similar to Vande Bharat, although it does not have air-conditioned coaches. The government has planned to expand the Amrit Bharat Express services across India, as the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai is already in the process of manufacturing 200 trains. While 50 are under construction, 150 are planned.
