Drashti Dhami wrote, “I want the T-shirt." Television actress Shubhaavi Choksey also commented on the clip, saying, “What an excellent explanation but honestly I want that t –shirt." Apart from the T-shirt, Nakuul Mehta’s view on ‘Dal Chawal parenting’ also struck a chord with the audience’s heart.
Explaining his idea of the term, the actor said, “If you go to a Michelin-style restaurant and order a version of dal-chawal, you might get something like quinoa lentils soaked in saffron risotto. But at the core, it’s still dal-chawal, something rudimentary and nourishing. It’s a warm hug, it reminds you of home.
" According to Nakuul, there are more ways of parenting than one. Further defining the term, he added, “I think this is a mix of everything. You can decide.
You need to set your boundaries and how much spice you want to add). I feel there is no one way to do parenting, but if you can find a balance of all of this and make that your style, that is dal-chawal parenting. Dal-chawal parenting basically means being present, being fully there, and being the nurturer, the nourisher.
" Seemingly impressed, Jankee Parekh responded, calling it “the most unique perspective" on parenting, lauding her husband for his views.
