Brighton and Hove Buses have announced a raft of changes to their services, including one route running every four to five minutes. The changes will begin to take effect from April 18, with further updates to various routes from April 27. The frequency on Route 25 will increase to every four to five minutes from April 27.
Route 13X will operate every 30 minutes on Sundays and public holidays from April 27. Route 24 will have revised timetables daily to improve punctuality, with all Old Steine starting and finishing journeys now extended to Churchill Square. Earlier journeys will be introduced daily from Hollingbury ASDA, alongside improved early morning frequencies on Saturdays and Sundays.
Route 26 will have revised timetables daily to improve punctuality, with all Old Steine finishing journeys extended to Churchill Square. This route will now have earlier journeys on Mondays to Saturdays from Portslade and Southwick, with additional early journeys from Hollingbury running on Mondays to Fridays. Evening Portslade starting and finishing journeys will now be extended to start and finish at Southwick to maintain a 30-minute frequency. Route 50 will have revised timetables daily to improve reliability.
Route 77 will see the summer timetable reintroduced on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. An additional journey has been added to Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday evenings on Route 78. The Route 79 timetable has been revised to improve reliability, with the summer timetable reintroduced on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and the introduction of an additional evening journey.
These improvements are supported by funding from the Brighton and Hove Bus Service Improvement Plan.
