The Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum (NSSF), has lauded Niger state Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago, for his giant strides in infrastructural development and efforts to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in the state. This was contained in a statement signed by its secretary general (Santurakin Nupe) Dr. Mohammed Santuraki and made available to journalists.

According to the statement, the group stated this in its inaugural Executive Committee meeting, on Saturday April 26, under the leadership of its Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Liman, (Wazirin Baro/Zannan Agaie). The forum commended Governor Bago for enhanced security measures with the aim of improving public order and safety. “Minna, once a city of peace and harmony, had been plagued by fear due to the activities of street thugs and miscreants.

“We therefore hailed Governor Bago for taking decisive action to restore the state’s capital to its former glory,” the forum said. The group urged youth to refrain from social vices and to serve as good ambassadors of the state. The forum further advocates for collaboration among all stakeholders, including parents and community leaders, to support the Niger State government’s efforts in addressing pressing issues confronting the state.

The forum disclosed that it would unveil plans for constructive engagements with both the federal and state governments and non-governmental organizations regarding the actualization of some of the critical projects and programmes in the Zone and Niger state at large..
