The 83rd Golden Globes ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 11, 2026, the organisers announced on Thursday, April 24. Comedian Nikki Glaser will host the prestigious award ceremony. Following her leadership of the 2025 edition of the award presentation, the Globes confirmed in March that Glaser would return for a second consecutive year.
The international film and television awards ceremony usually takes place on the first weekend of January, but it will take place on the second weekend of January in 2026, as reported by Variety. The Globes organisers further stated that nominations for the year's biggest films and television shows will be revealed on December 8 along with a complete awards line-up. This is the second instalment of a five-year agreement that CBS/Paramount inked with Dick Clark Productions and the Globes to host the Golden Globes and American Music Awards in 2024.
Comedian Nikki Glaser, who received praise for her 2025 Globes hosting tasks, will be back to emcee the season's first major broadcast award presentation. The most recent Globes reportedly had an average viewership of 9.3 million, slightly down from the 9.
4 million in 2024, but was regarded as a successful program because of Glaser. “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said at the time. The Globes will, as usual, be televised live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
According to a multi-year agreement with Showtime, the 83rd Golden Globes will again be shown live on CBS and Paramount+. Subscribers to Paramount+ with Showtime will be able to watch the ceremony live and on demand through the local CBS affiliate's live feed. Paramount+ Essential customers will be able to watch the special on demand the day after it airs, but they will not be able to watch the show live.
Besides the Golden Globes ceremony , several other 2026 awards ceremonies are beginning to take shape. Netflix will stream the 32nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony on March 1, while ABC will broadcast the Oscars on March 15. The Producers Guild Awards event will be held on February 28, 2026.
