Excelsior CorrespondentJAMMU, Apr 24: Manav Ekta Diwas (Human Unity Day) was observed here today by Sant Nirankari Mission to remember Baba Gurbachan Singh.On this occasion homage was paid to Baba Gurbachan Singh and blood donation camps were organised across the country at more than 500 branches of the Mission.In Jammu, the camp was organised at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Shastri Nagar which was inaugurated by Seema Bhasin, Director Finance, Social Welfare Department.
A total of 217 units of blood were donated in the camp by the volunteers.Dr. Geetika Duggal, Medical Director of Sant Nirankari Health City shared that about 30,000 units of blood were collected from across the country during this blood donation drive with nearly 1000 units donated at the Delhi camp alone.
Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Jammu delivered welcome address and said that this grand initiative is more than just a blood donation drive and is a living expression of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj’s message of compassion, service and unity.Others present on the occasion were Anu Behl, Special Secretary Revenue Department, Dr. Vijay Sahni, Dr.
Renu Menia, Dr. Zulfikar and Dr. Rashmika from Blood Bank GMC Jammu.
