Nora Aunor's films to be screened at SM Cinemas starting April 25

Three of Nora Aunor’s films are set to be screened at SM Cinemas starting on April 25, Friday. According to an announcement on Facebook, the event is titled, “The Superstar Collection: A Tribute to the National Artist,” and the films to be screened are “Beloved,” “The Flor Contemplacion Story,” and “Mananambal.” The participating cinemas are SM North Edsa, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Fairview.

Film schedules and other details are yet to be posted. Nora passed away on April 16 at the age of 71. According to her son Ian De Leon, she died of acute respiratory failure .



She was honored with a necrological funeral service and was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on Tuesday. Nora, as well as Pilita Corrales, Gloria Romero, and Margarita Fores will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit with a ceremony on May 4. It is one of the highest awards conferred by a Philippine president to individuals in recognition of their contribution to nation-building.
