Nora Aunor’s son Ian de Leon thanks fans after mom’s heroic burial Nora Aunor ’s son, Ian de Leon, became emotional as he thanked the supporters of his late mother after the Superstar and National Artist was accorded a state funeral and a hero’s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on Tuesday, April 22. ) De Leon, who is Aunor’s son with Drama King Christopher de Leon, emphasized that despite the struggles of their family, their mom would be happy to see them together, drawing strength from one another. “Kaming mga anak niya sa halip ng madaming pinagdaanan sa buhay, sa halip ay nandito pa rin kami magkakasama dahil ‘yun ang ginusto ng aming ina. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared April 22, a national day of mourning for Aunor. The president and First Lady previously visited the last day of the wake on Monday, ahead of the artist’s burial.
