4 as we elect four public education champions to the Carlisle Area School District Board. They are Amanda Rudy, Sue Bower, Anne Lauritzen, and Stephen Brousse. They will bring unique experiences, expertise, and energy to our school board.

org/candidates . These are not normal times. We do not know with certainty the most serious future threats to public education.
However, some of our most misguided fellow citizens appear determined to incrementally defund and ultimately replace our public schools with private academies that teach students what to think instead of how to think by banning books and adopting a curriculum informed by one religious and racial perspective. Thankfully, long ago, we Americans decided we needed neither a King nor a state religion to dictate to us what and how to think. America’s clock will not be turned back to when our schools were intentionally separate and unequal.
