Usyk currently holds four of the five belts, the current WBA, WBC, WBO and The Ring champion will enter the ring for the first time since his rematch victory over Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia back in December.The Ukrainian is looking to unify all five heavyweight belts for the first time since last year, when his initial victory over Fury back in May saw him become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.The 38-year-old, who carries an undefeated 23-0 record into July’s fight had held the IBF title after his first victory, with five of his last six fights going the full 12 rounds, had held the IBF title following his first win over Fury too, but chose to relinquish it just months later.
IBF’s mandatory title defence rules required Usyk’s next fight to be against Dubois, however the Ukrainian had already agreed a rematch with Fury, meaning the champion had to give up his title.The IBF heavyweight belt was then arranged to go to the winner of Dubois’ fight with Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium last September, a fight which Dubois won after a fifth round knockout.The 27-year-old has won 22 of his 24 professional fights, picking up his first defeat against Joe Joyce back in 2020 before losing to Usyk in Poland in 2023 with five heavyweight titles on the line.
