1 2 3 4 Pune: A 24-year-old worker with a private company died, and his two colleagues were severely injured after a truck hit their motorcycle at Kuruli village in Mahalunge on Monday morning. The victims were riding triple seat on the motorcycle and were taking a U-turn at Spicer Chowk in Kuruli village around 10am on Monday when the truck hit their motorcycle. The police identified the deceased as Ashok Bhosale (49).
His colleagues, Lavkush Kori (24) and Hukum Singh Lodhi (27), sustained severe injuries in the accident. An officer of Mahalunge MIDC police said that on Monday morning, the trio was driving towards Chakan on their motorcycle. They took the U-turn at Spicer Chowk and were hit by a truck.
"Bhosale died at the spot, while two others sustained severe injuries. The truck driver left the vehicle at the spot and fled," the officer said. He mentioned that the police registered a case of causing death by negligence against the truck driver.
