Adding on, he also expressed hope that the community would continue to offer their support and contribute generously so as to enable the Salvation Army to continue assisting families in need, particularly in providing educational support to the children. On the Lorong B5, Lim said the Salvation Army Bintulu Community Centre had conducted field observation and found that the disaster had affected 53 adults, 11 teenagers, 11 children, and one infant.“After the incident, many community-based organisations provided immediate assistance, demonstrating a spirit of compassion.
“The Salvation Army learned from this experience, especially regarding the teenagers and children who appeared very helpless during the disaster.“They witnessed the fire engulfing their homes and school supplies, leaving them with nothing.”Lim described the emotional toll as ‘indescribable’, and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the generosity and support extended by everyone.
He noted that these contributions brought comfort during their time of hardship and helped alleviate pressing challenges, even if only temporarily. The post Onus falls on residents to learn, understand fire safety appeared first on Borneo Post Online..
