Pledge 100% loyalty, allegiance to Gov AdelekeBy Ismail Azeez, OsogboThe Osun State Executive Council has firmly dismissed speculation of a mass defection from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to another political party, branding the claims as unfounded.Council members expressed unanimous solidarity and unwavering loyalty to Governor Ademola Adeleke, reaffirming their commitment to his leadership and the state’s ongoing development.Speaking on Monday on behalf of the council, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Dosu Babatunde, pledged steadfast support for Governor Adeleke and the ruling PDP, led in the state by Hon Sunday Bisi.

He said no amount of political scheming by opposition figures would be sufficient to derail the Governor’s positive agenda for the people of Osun.“Your Excellency, Mr Governor, we use this opportunity to further affirm and reaffirm our love and unshakable solidarity with you and your administration in Osun State,” Babatunde said.“We have read and heard with great consternation the many insinuations being mischievously circulated in certain political quarters, particularly among opposition parties, about an alleged looming mass defection of Executive Council members from the ruling PDP to another political party.

”He described the reports as a “political fallacy taken to the extreme” and dismissed them as careless and baseless fabrications by disgruntled elements of the opposition.“To this end, we reiterate, again and again, that no amount of political manoeuvring currently being plotted by members of the opposition will persuade us to betray a house (the PDP) which we fought tooth and nail to build,” Babatunde declared.Looking ahead to the next electoral cycle, he expressed confidence in the Governor’s enduring popularity: “Come 2026, the entire people of Osun State will reenact the feat of returning Your Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as Governor of our dear state,” he said.
