A 21-year -old woman was allegedly shot dead by her stalkers in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The deceased had gone to purchase some milk from a nearby grocery store when two miscreants saw her and shot her dead in full public view. Following that they escaped from there, but the villagers had seen their faces.
They called the police, and informed them about the incident. This followed an investigation in the matter. After which, the police arrested the two accused.
As per the villagers, the incident took place at around 8 pm. It is when the woman was out to buy some milk from a store, which was merely 50 meters away from her house. The villagers told that the two miscreants were waiting for her there.
When they saw her coming, they stopped her to have a little conversation. Within minutes of which, the accused opened fire, and killed the woman, said HT. Following the incident, tension escalated in the area. Therefore, the police deployed four teams. An FIR has been registered in the matter.
“The two suspects, who were allegedly involved in the murder, were identified by a group of eyewitnesses. They managed to flee after the incident. Brother of the deceased lodged an FIR of murder under Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) section 103 (1) against the accused,” a police official said, it added.
