THE Kabankalan City Police Station drug operatives seized an estimated P102,000 worth of substance believed to be shabu in a drug bust in Sitio Buri, Barangay 4, on Monday evening, April 21, 2025. The operation also led to the arrest of John Anthony Mordise, 22, a resident of Relocation Site, Barangay 9, Kabankalan City. Kabankalan City Police Station records showed Mordise was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer at 6:15 p.
m. Police recovered from Mordise’s possession nine sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams, a zip-lock plastic sachet containing dried marijuana leaves weighing .5 grams, P500 marked money, P240 cash, weighing scale, and drug paraphernalia.
Police said Mordise, a new identified drug personality in Kabankalan City, was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest. The suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility of Kabankalan City Police Station. He will be charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
