In a public weather forecast, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Grace Castañeda said the ITCZ continues to affect Southern Mindanao.

(The ITCZ continues to affect Southern Mindanao where today it will still bring high chances of rain, thunderstorms and lightning in the eastern and southern parts of Mindanao.) Mindanao due to ITCZ; hot weather for rest of PH With this, Pagasa particularly warned residents of Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi Tawi against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains caused by ITCZ. Meanwhile, easterlies — or the hot and humid winds from the Pacific Ocean — affect the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, according to Castañeda.

(Today [the easterlies] will still bring hot and humid weather and we still have the possibility of isolated or sudden rains, lightning, and thunderstorms.) She said the state weather bureau is not monitoring any low pressure area or weather disturbance that could affect the country at present.
