LAHORE - Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Afridi on Sunday lashed out at India over Pahalgam incident. Talking to the media during his visit to Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy at National Hockey Stadium here, Afridi said, “ Pahalgam incident is a drama of India.” How it is possible that terrorists carried out attack for an hour and 800,000 Indian troops did not take action in this regard, he questioned.
Shahid Afridi also criticised Indian Cricket Board’s Vice President Rajeev Shukla’s statement about not playing a series with Pakistan, saying that India never had the intention to play with Pakistan. Pakistan and Islam promote peace and brotherhood, he said and added that no country or religion supports terrorism. He further said, “We have always tried to have good ties with India.
” To a question, he said he does not want any position in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) or Pakistan team and he would prefer to work at grassroots level. Regarding PSL, Afridi said that Ali Raza had shown good performance in Pakistan Super League. He said that when domestic cricket was ongoing in the country then no player should be allowed to play league.
