Pahalgam Terror Attack: Netizens Oppose Fawad Khan, Vaani Kapoor's Abir Gulaal Release In India

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is set to make his comeback in Bollywood with Abir Gulaal opposite Vaani Kapoor. After the Pahalgam terror attack, which shook the entire nation, X (formerly Twitter) users have opposed the film's release in India. For the uninitiated, the Uri attack had earlier prompted a ban on Pakistani artists.

Fawad Khan will soon make his Bollywood comeback with Abir Gulaal opposite Vaani Kapoor. Directed by Aarti Bagdi, the film has been scheduled to release in theatres this May. When the film's teaser was released, MNS opposed the theatrical release of Abir Gulaal in Maharashtra.

Now, the Pahalgam terror attack, which has left the entire nation in shock, has prompted X (formerly Twitter) user to oppose the film's release in India. In the past, the Uri attack prompted a ban on Pakistani artists. Twitter users oppose Abir Gulaal's release in India Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's Abir Gulaal is set to hit the big screen on May 9, 2025.



However, the recent terror attack that left 27 dead and several civilians injured, has led to a section of social media users calling for a ban on the film's release. "Abir Gulaal shouldn't release in India (sic)," wrote one user. Another netizen added, "Abir gulaal should not be released in #India (sic).

" One more netizen wrote, "#BoycottAbirGulal must happen ,AND u must learn your lesson (sic)." Check out the tweets below: One more X (formerly Twitter) user penned, "Still in favor of Pakistani actors in Indian cinema? Are we still going to allow movies like Abir Gulaal to be made in India with Pakistani actors? (sic)." When political party opposed Abir Gulaal's theatrical release Earlier this month, Ameya Khopkar, President of MNS' cinema wing, issued a statement, opposing Abir Gulaal's release in Maharashtra.

"The Mansainiks (MNS workers) have to do the job of dumping them in the bin and we will continue to do so. We will not allow the release of Abir Gulaal in Maharashtra. Those who want to pamper Pakistani actors can do so but they have to deal with us," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
