LAHORE - The Pakistan Women’s Baseball Team, led by Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, Secretary General of Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB), has reached Thailand to participate in the 4th BFA Women’s Baseball Asian Cup – Qualifier 2025. The team departed from Karachi and was given a warm send-off by Sindh Baseball Association officials, including Mr. Pervaiz Ahmad and Miss Ayesha Irum, who presented team members with traditional Ajraks and bouquets as a gesture of goodwill.
On behalf of the Association’s President, Mr. Pervaiz Ahmad Sheikh also presented a special bouquet to Team Leader Syed Fakhar Ali Shah. The official delegation includes Team Manager Syed Akhtar Hussain Shah, Coaches Umair Imdad Bhatti and Nadeem Sajjad Shah, and Senior Umpire M Zubair Wattoo.
Fakhar Shah expressed his gratitude for the support shown by the local baseball fraternity and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting the sport in Sindh and across Pakistan. “The team is well-prepared, motivated, and ready to give its best performance on the international stage,” he said. The tournament is scheduled from April 23 to 29 in Thailand.
Pakistan has been placed in Group A, alongside India, Sri Lanka, and Iran, while Group B features host Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Indonesia. Pakistan’s campaign will begin with a crucial match against arch-rivals India on April 24.
