Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's X account has been withheld in India. This comes in the aftermath of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives in the Kashmir valley on April 22. Earlier, the Indian government had blocked 16 Pakistan-based YouTube channels in retaliation to the attack in the Kashmir valley.
These channels, India said, were banned for spreading provocative, communally sensitive content and false narratives against India, its Army, and security agencies. The banned platforms collectively have around 63 million subscribers. They include major Pakistani news channels such as Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News, and Suno News.
Meanwhile, YouTube channels run by journalists like Irshad Bhatti, Asma Shirazi, Umar Cheema, and Muneeb Farooq have also been blocked for Indian users channels. In addition to these, channels of The Pakistan Reference, Samaa Sports, Uzair Cricket, and Razi Naama have been banned too..
