Just as Israel continues to slaughter dozens of Palestinians daily in the Gaza Strip, its ideological, military, and political partner in this genocide, the United States of America, has also pressed on with its barbaric assault on Yemen. Since March, the United States has bombed the nation almost daily, deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure — ports, hospitals, apartment complexes — in a ruthless bid to break Yemen’s remaining will and dismantle its basic infrastructure. The most recent attack illustrates just how closely Israel and the United States mirror each other: the United States bombed a migrant detention centre in Saada, killing at least 68 people.

This horrific act resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians, including migrants seeking refuge, and added yet another layer to the spiralling human tragedy. Once again, the parallels between Israel and the United States are unmistakable, particularly in the way both are systematically targeting civilian facilities instead of military ones. Of course, genuine destruction of military targets requires ground operations — something airstrikes alone cannot achieve — and so, the United States has resorted to the cowardly tactic of indiscriminate aerial bombing, hoping to bring an entire population to its knees.

These airstrikes demand independent investigations and deserve condemnation in their own right, apart from the ongoing genocide being perpetrated by Israel in Gaza. Affordable Healthcare The United States has wielded its overwhelming military power against a country without an air force or any significant means of defence — a pattern it has followed for decades across the Middle East. Find a defenceless nation, bomb it into rubble, and declare victory.

Yemen is now the latest addition to that shameful list, and the world must condemn the United States unequivocally for its actions there. In the broader context, these actions are even more deplorable. Yemen has been attempting to block vessels bound for Israel from passing through the Suez Canal, and the United States is bombing Yemen to help its partner maintain unimpeded access to global trade routes.

This makes clear that the United States is not merely complicit in genocide; it is an active, willing, and enthusiastic participant. Tags: partners crime.
