The New England Patriots followed up an impressive free agency by completing one of the greatest drafts in recent memory. It was a strong combined effort by Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and lead personnel executive Eliot Wolf at not only filling holes on the roster, but adding necessary depth to strengthen other positions. They kick-started the draft by going all in on the offensive side of the ball.
They picked up a potential franchise left tackle in LSU's Will Campbell and even two legitimate offensive weapons in Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson and wide receiver Kyle Williams. And then they used Day 3 to continue loading up on defense. Two of their highlight picks were Florida State defensive tackle Joshua Farmer and LSU edge rusher Bradyn Swinson.
Some NFL analysts had Swinson projected as high as a second-round pick, and he somehow fell to the Patriots at No. 146 in the fifth round. Here is New England's entire 2025 NFL draft class: Round 1, pick No.
4: Will Campbell, OT, LSUThe Patriots address the biggest hole on their roster by selecting LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell with the No. 4 overall pick. Campbell is a technician who plays with a nasty streak in the trenches.
He's everything the team needs as a long-term blindside protector for second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Round 2, pick No. 38: TreVeyon Henderson, QB, Ohio StateThe Patriots add a legitimate home run threat and tremendous pass blocker in Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson.
He's a do-everything weapon in the offensive backfield who should thrive in offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' system. The combination of Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson and Henderson gives the Patriots one of the best running back rooms in the league. Round 3, pick No.
69: Kyle Williams, WR, Washington StateKyle Williams is one of the best separators in the entire 2025 NFL draft class. He's a speedy receiver with elite playmaking abilities with the ball in his hands. He racked up 70 catches for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns in his final season at Washington State.
Round 3, pick No. 95: Jared Wilson, C, GeorgiaWith the No. 95 pick, the Patriots selected Georgia center Jared Wilson, a powerful interior offensive lineman with the size and talent to be a future starter for the team.
Garrett Bradbury could serve as a solid veteran bridge option until Wilson is up to speed enough to take the reins. Round 4, pick No. 106: Craig Woodson, S, CaliforniaThe Patriots added more depth at safety by going after California defensive back Craig Woodson with their fourth-round pick.
Woodson is a versatile playmaker with the ability to play the safety/nickel role on defense. He had 70 tackles, nine pass deflections and two interceptions for the Golden Bears last season. Round 4, pick No.
137: Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida StateWith the questions surrounding Christian Barmore's health situation, Farmer is a freakish athlete with elite physical abilities to threaten opposing quarterbacks along the defensive front. However, with good coaching, there's much more depth to his game than just rushing the passer. Round 5, pick No.
146: Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSUBradyn Swinson was projected as high as a second-round pick in this draft. So it should come as no surprise that many view this as a major steal for the Patriots. Swinson is an ascending talent with the freakish athleticism and power to dominate as a pass rusher at the next level.
Round 6, pick No. 182: Andres Borregales, K, MiamiThe Patriots got John Parker Romo some competition by picking arguably the best kicker in the country last season in Miami's Andres Borregales. This generation is full of kickers with big legs, and Borregales fits the mold with a leg that can score from long distances.
He kicked a 65-yarder through the uprights at his pro day. Round 7, pick No. 220: Marcus Bryant, OT, MissouriThe Patriots doubled down at offensive tackle by selecting the massive wall of a human being in Missouri's Marcus Bryant.
This was the team's first offensive pick on Day 3, and they opted to go with the 6-foot-7, 320-pound blindside protector for the Tigers. Bryant has all of the physical tools to find success in the NFL, but he'll need good coaching to put it all together. Round 7, pick No.
251: Julian Ashby, LS, VanderbiltThe Patriots brought in some fresh competition for their longest-tenured player, Joe Cardona. Julian Ashby joining the mix is a clear indication of the team making a heavy investment in special teams. He'll serve as direct competition for Cardona in training camp.
Round 7, pick No. 257: Kobee Minor, CB, MemphisMemphis cornerback Kobee Minor wins the title of "Mr. Irrelevant" of the 2025 NFL draft.
But don't let where he was drafted fool you. Minor plays with a lot of confidence, and it suits his physical style in the defensive backfield. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.
