PBs and prizes galore in Rainford RAMS great start to the season

Rainford Runners and Multi Sports have enjoyed their best ever start to a new season with prizes and PB's achieved at some of the country's most iconic venues.

Easter Saturday saw Robert Chesters get the ball rolling as he set the second fastest run of the Mallory Park Duathlon en route to 4th overall and a M40-44 age group win. The following weekend the club appeared in the elite races at both the London and Manchester marathons. While Mike Goulbourne added a 2:46 to his long record of achievements in the capital, Nicola Jackson was aiming for her first sub-3hr time in Manchester; in the event she obliterated her target as she finished the 26.
