GRIFFIN - The Trinity Christian School of Griffin boys basketball teams has found a new coach. They have named Philip Garrison the middle school and varsity boys basketball coach. Garrison is already a member of the staff at TCGS as he serves as the director of Spiritual Development.
He has over nine years of coaching experience, which includes winning two regional championships. “I’ve been coaching for more than nine years now.,” said Garrison.
“I’ve coached at Creekside Christian Academy in McDonough, and Horizon Christian Academy in Cumming. I’m excited about building relationships with these young men, and seeing them develop into who God has called them to be.” The expectations are high for the program as they won the region championship this season.
“My expectations for the basketball program here at Trinity is going to be a standard of excellence both on and off the court,” said Garrison. “This includes their relationship with God and others, as well as their academics. “Defense is going to be a top priority on this team, as the expectation is going to be relentless defense.
” “We are confident that Coach Garrison will continue to develop student-athletes who compete with excellence and character, and we look forward to a great season under his direction,” said athletic director David Brock. Coach Garrison would like for everybody to come out to the Lion’s Den on game days to support the school. “I am excited and looking forward to this opportunity here at Trinity.
Please come out and support us this upcoming season, and let’s make our Lion’s Den as loud as we possibly can,” said Garrison..
