Vadodara: In a rare incident, a woman was attacked and bitten multiple times by a pig in the Manjalpur area of the city on Thursday. She was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The incident occurred near Gajanand Society, where the victim, Kusum Patel, is employed.
According to sources, Patel was on her way home when a pig suddenly charged at her in an open plot and bit her several times. Passersby who witnessed the attack quickly came to her aid and managed to chase the pig away. One of them called an ambulance, and she was promptly taken to the hospital.
Sources further revealed that the pig involved in the attack might not have been a stray, but rather an animal being reared by someone in the locality. Pig bite cases are extremely rare in Vadodara, especially since stray pigs have largely disappeared from most parts of the city in recent years..
