Pune: A PMPML bus fatally knocked down a pedestrian, Mahananda Adsul (70), around 2.45pm on Tuesday near Blueberry Chowk in Kharadi. Police have detained the PMPML bus driver (48).
The vehicle has been impounded. She was walking on an internal road of Kharadi and it did not have a footpath.
" He said, "At a narrow turn, the bus driver neglected the safety of other road users and the vehicle's front section hit the woman. She fell on the road and was found under the rear wheel of the bus." Chavan said, "We took Adsul to Sassoon General Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
